Seasonal management

Pruning

Because GeoAgronomics works at the level of each and every vine, we enhance quality and yield through greater accuracy and consistency. GeoAgronomics models a range of factors, including how how much sun will hit each vine and how good water supply will be.  Geoagronomics then compares seasons to create optimal pruning strategies, which can be formulated to your requirements - from the level of the field, management block, sub-block or individual vines, which can be pruned to achieve the best canopy distribution. It is understanding and managing inherent natural variability from season to season that provides the opportunity to increase quality and profitability.

Precision Irrigation

Pressure on water resources has been a major issue in recent years in California, France and Australia, with the shortages expected to increase with the impact of both global warming and an increasing global population.  Because GeoAgronomics works at the level of each and every vine, we optimise water usage.  Our approach can reduce water costs by up to 10% and increase the quality of production - a win-win scenario for profits and the environment.  Talk to us to discover how we can compare irrigation schedules and their results, from one year to the next.

Disease control

Identify important threats, such as leaf roll virus and phylloxera, often before they have a significant impact on your vines. GeoAgronomics models can also identify the sources of problems and predict future spread.  This knowledge is used in the formulation of control strategies.

Precision Harvesting

Each year we formulate harvest strategies which can increase the value of your production by many thousands of dollars.  We enable the identification and picking of the best grapes at the optimal times, so quality is never compromised. This allows the production of higher quality, competitive wines that are not adversely affected by inconsistent grape quality or the sale of grapes for the highest possible price rather than the lowest common denominator.  Harvesting the right grapes at the right time dramatically increases the value of your crop.
