Google EarthGeoAgronomics works in Google Earth, allowing important insights to be seen at the level of each and every vine in your vineyards. Display any data set by going to the easy download section in My Account. You can also produce stunning fly-throughs of your vineyard and examine other classic vineyards around the world.
Our focus is on helping you to make more money and better wine. GeoAgronomics technology, developed at the University of Cambridge, integrates environmental and economic data seamlessly. Our customers monetize decisions in the vineyard in order to minimise uncertainty and maximise profits.
Our patent-pending and award-winning technology helps choose, understand and manipulate terroir in order to achieve chosen objectives. There is no need for a postgraduate degree in computer modelling or Geographical Information Systems (GIS) or to plant wireless networks and weather stations amongst your vines.
As our planet's resources become more scarce and expensive, so environmental management's importance increases. We help manage both resources and profits.
Until now, winemakers have been forced to accept that the quality and yield of their grapes varies from year to year, from field to field, and from vine to vine. In the absence of a holistic and scientific explanation, winemakers have been forced to adopt either partial solutions: some winemakers have focused on the weather and placed small weather stations around their vineyard; some have focused on the soil as the most important factor and have expensive pits dug in their vineyards; some even blame the lunar cycles. However, there is no longer an excuse for partial explanations to unlocking the secrets of terroir. GeoAgronomics' research has uncovered how the complex factors in your vineyard interact to affect production.
We discover, research and profile quality-driven vineyards, their environment and climate using non-invasive techniques which were until recently the sole preserve of space programs or the military. As well as managing, optimizing and increasing the productive value of the existing vineyards, GeoAgronomics provides a unique insight into the leading growing locations and profit centres of tomorrow that are the investment opportunities of today.
To reinforce what we discover from the heavens and to enable you to leverage your local knowledge and expertise, we are building GeoStore. Geostore helps you to collect your own data and to upload and store it. This can be done on iPhone, using GPS or even simply using a spreadsheet. In return, we do the complicated parts and deliver processed, visually-stunning and commercially useful maps and graphs that will optimise your crops productivity.
Just as computer modeling has revolutionized aircraft design and weather forecasting, our mission is to provide better information to enable better decisions. We respect winemakers and learn from them whenever we meet them. We’re about empowering, not replacing, winemakers.
We enjoy working with viticulturalists, vinologists, soil scientists, government agencies, utilities, consultants and vineyard owners. Our partners are really important to us. Winemaking is a team sport. Leading winemakers turn to us to make help them cross the chasm from ordinary to extraordinary.
We know winemaking isn't just about harvest time, so we don't simply supply a report once a year. We support our customers through the seasons, resolving problems and helping them with crucial decisions.
High ResolutionWe go beyond the ordinary, beyond what you can see with your eyes, in order to uncover the complexities of the interactions that produce high quality wines. We use the highest resolution data possible that allows us to identify quality down to the individual vine.
GeoAgronomics uses a broad set of enabling technologies to observe and respond to production variability, these include: GPS, Met Stations, Multi-spectral imaging, EM38, DEMs, High Resolution Soil Surveys, GIS, Climate models, to name but a few.
We are experienced in improving the usegae of organic and biodynamic practices in order to help nature express its true form in a manageable way. Biodynamic viticulture and its holisitic philosophy complements with our systems approach to viticulture.
